This reinterpretation of Korean traditional doors was made using the mortise and tenon joint. Rather than the traditional method of finishing with Korean mulberry paper called Hanji, I chose to show off the patterns of wooden lattice frames.
They are minimalist and symbolic about what a building was once intended for.
I made it more like a sculpture than a functional object.
