The cedar tree used as the material for this work is one of the dead trees around the my house due to the drought of the past several years, and it expresses the reality of increasing damage due to global warming. The title The Craving Pole contains compassion for nature that is damaged by the selfishness of humans over-burdening the ecosystems.
